Hoppus (RoboCup Junior)

While in school I was part of the RoboCup Junior Rescue Team “Hoppus”. In our category, we co-won the world cup 2008 and won the world cup 2009.
The Junior Rescue competition was desgined for robotics platforms like the Lego Mindstorms of that time, having a limited number of simple sensors. We decided on using an embedded Linux development board and a webcam instead. This was a few years before the Raspberry Pi was launched, so finding a suitble board within our budget was a challenge.
